Do read Mike Konczal’s summaries of the financial crisis investigatory committee’s hearings. Some commentators have been deriding it as a show trial or as not producing interesting material; I disagree wholeheartedly as I think reading these summaries will show.

The Wall Street Journal has a couple of good articles in the wake of this Google-China fight: one about Levi’s decision to leave China in the 1980s, the other about Chinese business norms.

And China isn’t the only government Google’s run afoul of: France wants to tax them and stop Google Books and is generally doing its best to live up to otherwise untrue stereotypes.

Also, this GQ reconstruction of how Marvin Harrison allegedly shot two men is chilling and a great piece of journalism.
